Peter (Pistol) Carson
Carson, a native of London, Ontario has a deep hockey experience that includes being a Professional Hockey Athletic Trainer/Equipment Manager (PHATS / SPHEM retired) for 10 years in the CoHL, SHL, CHL, ECHL and UHL. In addition, he has 30+ years of experience as Collegiate Athletic Trainer/Equipment Manager with U of Windsor (Canada), U of Western Ontario (Canada), Duke University, UNC and Elon University. He also coached the UNC Hockey team in 2012-14.
Currently, Pete is the Head Equipment Manager at The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for the ACHA D1 Ice Hockey team. His roles as Head Equipment Manager, Athletic Trainer, and Coach have earned him recognition for his precision and dedication to the sport of hockey.
He has proudly represented both Canada and the USA at the World University Cup of Hockey in Carta, Romania (2023) winning Gold and in Torino, Italy (2025) at the FISU World Winter University Games.
Pete specializes in hockey equipment repair and skate sharpening, however; his skills also extend to repairing martial arts, baseball, football, lacrosse and various other sporting goods repair as well as leather products. Trust Pete to keep your gear game-ready with unmatched craftsmanship!
